ILMAC takes place every three years and is Switzerland's most important industry exhibition for all manufacturers and suppliers to the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Basel, as the exhibition's place, is among the major European centres for the pharmaceutical and chemical industry and is the third biggest life science base in Europe. During ILMAC many other events organised by MipTec, Swiss Chemical Society, BioValley Basel etc. and concentrated on Life Science will take place.
